Chapters: a game split into clear parts

Group your steps by topic. Players always know which part they are in and how much is left to play.

Describe your game: the assistant builds it, you fine-tune it.

How it works

A chapter gathers steps under one title: the questions, games and content screens that belong to the same part. During play, that title shows above every step in the chapter, like the running head of a book.

A game split into parts is easier to follow. Players see their progress chapter by chapter and know where they stand. For you, it's also the simplest way to organize a long path by topic or by level.

For the player

  1. 1The player goes straight into the chapter's first step, with no extra screen in between.
  2. 2The chapter title stays above the title of every step inside it.
  3. 3The progress bar groups steps by chapter. A closed chapter becomes a single segment, which turns green when all its steps are passed.

What you set

  • Add a chapter and give it a title.
  • Drag steps into the chapter from the game outline, and move them between chapters whenever you like.
  • In the game settings, the "Only show top-level chapters" option keeps the progress bar collapsed to chapters, which works best on phones.
  • Inside a Conditions block, a chapter becomes a whole branch with its own entry rules.

Ideas for using it

  • New hire onboarding

One chapter per topic: the company, the tools, safety, and who to ask.

  • Cybersecurity training

Split the program into short chapters: passwords, phishing, sensitive data.

  • Beginner or advanced

With a Conditions block, send each player to the chapter that fits their level.

  • Multi-session conference

One chapter per workshop or booth, following the day's agenda.

Frequently asked questions

How do I structure a training game into several parts?

Create one chapter per part in the Ludiz editor and drag the steps into it. The chapter title stays with the player and progress reads part by part.

Do players see a title screen for each chapter?

No, a chapter opens straight on its first step. If you want an introduction, put a Content screen at the top of the chapter.

Does the AI assistant create chapters?

Yes. When you describe your game, the AI assistant can split it into chapters and fill them with steps. You can then rearrange them freely.
