Priority matrix: sort first, then understand

One card at a time, players pick the column that feels right. At the end, a results board shows what landed in the right place and what didn't.

How it works

The priority matrix shows up to six columns, such as urgent, important or delegate, and a deck of cards. Players sort the cards one by one and get feedback on each move: “Well placed!” or “Misplaced item”.

This format asks people to take a stand, then check their choices against the expected answer. The results screen counts the right answers and shows, column by column, where each card should have gone. You add it by hand in the editor in a few minutes.

For the player

  1. 1A card appears with a counter (Card 3 / 10) and a progress bar.
  2. 2The player drags it into a column or taps the column they choose, and a message tells them right away if it is well placed. Each column's “view” button lists the cards already sorted there.
  3. 3Once every card is sorted, a results board shows the score and the right column for each misplaced card.

What you set

  • Create up to six columns, each with a name and an optional subtitle, and reorder them with drag and drop.
  • Add the cards (text, image or both) and set the correct column for each one.
  • Customize the wording: instructions, “well placed” and “misplaced” messages, the “view” button label, and the title and intro of the results screen.
  • Shuffle the cards so each player sees them in a different order.

Ideas for using it

  • Eisenhower matrix

Split tasks between urgent, important, delegate and drop, in a module on time management.

  • Data classification

Sort documents into public, internal or confidential for a cybersecurity awareness course.

  • Risk rating

Rate work situations as low, medium or high risk during safety training.

  • Company values

Link everyday behaviors to the value they reflect, during an offsite or onboarding.

Frequently asked questions

How do I build a priority matrix online?

Add a Priority matrix step in the Ludiz editor, name your columns, then create the cards and set the right column for each. Your people play in a browser with nothing to install.

How many columns can I create?

Up to six. On phones, columns show two per row so they stay easy to read.

Do players see the right answers?

Yes. After each card, a message says whether it is well placed. The final screen shows the score and, for every misplaced card, the expected column.
