Game mechanicsStep choice: players pick their own path
A situation, a few buttons, and every answer opens a different next step. The game becomes a story where the player decides what happens.
Describe your game: the assistant builds it, you fine-tune it.
How it works
A Step choice screen sets up a situation and offers answer buttons. Each button is linked to a step in the game, and tapping it takes the player straight there. No score here, just consequences.
It's the heart of any role-play scenario. Facing an upset customer or a suspicious email, the player decides, then sees what that decision leads to. A mistake lived through in a game sticks better than a rule read in a handout.
For the player
- 1The player reads the situation: a title, some text and, if needed, an image or a video.
- 2They tap one of the buttons, each marked with a letter.
- 3They jump right to the step linked to that button, and the game carries on from there.
What you set
- The buttons: a label for each and the step it leads to. Add, remove and reorder them by drag and drop.
- The situation: title, text and media (image, video, audio, slideshow or PDF).
- Hints players can reveal when they hesitate, and a timer to make them decide fast.
- The branches themselves: any steps you like, questions, content or games, built like the rest of your path.
Ideas for using it
Customer service
The player answers an upset customer and sees how the customer reacts to each reply.
Suspicious email
Open the attachment, report it or delete it: every choice has a follow-up, and a lesson.
First-time managers
Put a new manager in front of a team conflict and show the impact of each decision.
Choose your topic
Let each player pick which topic to explore first.
Frequently asked questions
How do I create a branching scenario?
Add a Step choice screen, write one button per answer and link each one to the step that should follow. Then build each branch with whatever steps you need.
Can branches come back together?
Yes. After the step a button leads to, the game follows the order of your outline. On any step, you can also choose where the Next button goes, to bring branches back to the same place.
Can the AI assistant build branches?
Yes. Describe the situation and the possible choices: the AI assistant creates the screen and links each button to the right step.
